For the discerning burger enthusiast, this recipe transcends the ordinary. We're swapping traditional beef for flavorful and protein-rich JJ Bison patties, then layering on a symphony of textures and tastes. A tangy, homemade soul sauce sets the stage, while unexpected delights like a perfectly fried tomato and a runny egg add intrigue.  Prepare to be surprised – and satisfied – by this gourmet burger experience you can create right at home.

Ingredients:

Burger Ingredients:

  • JJ Bison burgers

  • Your favorite buns

  • Cheddar cheese (sliced)

  • Avocado (pitted, sliced)

  • Fried tomato (we recommend green because green ones stand up to heat exceptionally well.)

  • Fried egg

  • Spinach


Soul Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1/2 bottle ketchup

  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar

  • finely diced onion

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon pepper


Directions:

  1. Using a skillet or grill, cook the burgers to your desired temperature.

  2. While the burgers are cooking, make the soul sauce by combining the ingredients in a bowl.

  3. If desired, toast the buns, then place the bottom bun on the plate and stack the soul sauce, fried tomato, spinach, burger, cheddar, fried egg, and finally the top bun.

  4. Enjoy!
