Ingredients:

  • Oyster steak

  • salt to taste

  • pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons garlic

  • 3 tablespoons butter, and another 2 tablespoons.


Directions:

  1. Take your thawed oyster steak out of the fridge and wait until it reaches room temperature.

  2. Pat down your steak until dry on all sides.

  3. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Heat your cast iron pan to medium-high and add 3 tablespoons butter.

  5. After ~1 minute or so, add your steak and sear for about 2 minutes.

  6. Flip the steak and add the rest of the butter to the pan as well as garlic.

  7. Baste the steak with the garlic butter mixture.

  8. Remove the steak in the pan when it reaches 5 degrees below your desired temperature and let rest on a cutting board.

  9. When it reaches your desired temperature, enjoy!
