Ingredients:

  • 3lbs ground JJ Bison

  • 2 onions, chopped

  • 1 16oz can of peeled tomatoes

  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper

  • 1 25oz can kidney beans

  • 1 25oz can chili beans

  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 4 cups of ketchup

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon garlic

  • 2 teaspoons cilantro

  • 1 teaspoon thyme

  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered mustard

  • **If you like hot chili, add jalapenos


Directions:

  1. In a skillet, fry the ground bison until browned - you shouldn't need oil or anything for this step.

  2. In a crockpot, add the ground bison and additional ingredients.

  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours.

  4. Top with grated cheese if desired and enjoy!
