Bison Top Sirloin Pasta Salad


This bison top-round pasta was a winner at our family dinner and we hope you like it too!


Ingredients:

  • 2 JJ Bison Sirloin Steaks

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided

  • 8 ounces of Cavatappi pasta

  • 1/2 cup purchased basil pesto

  • 2 cups grape tomatoes

  • 2 tablespoons fresh, grated garlic


Directions:

  1. Start pasta according to the box directions.

  2. Pat your steaks dry and season with salt, and pepper.

  3. Heat a pan until smoking with 2 tablespoons olive oil and sear meat and cook until almost done.

  4. Remove the meat and rest in foil.

  5. In the same pan, use 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of garlic and turn the pan to low.

  6. Roll your grape tomatoes in the pan until they start to shrivel a bit.

  7. Cut the steak thin.

  8. In a bowl, combine steak, pasta, pesto, and tomatoes.

  9. Serve and enjoy!
